My name is Fabio Lima, and I’m a graphic designer and art director based in Adelaide but made in Rio de Janeiro – Brazil. With an extensive career spanning almost 20 years divided between two countries: Brazil and Australia. I’ve a solid background in branding, creative design and art direction.
As a proactive creative graphic designer, I tackle creative briefs with a passion for discovering distinctive and efficient design solutions, and see obstacles as opportunities, consistently aiming to surpass clients' expectations.
Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of collaborating with prestigious advertising agencies and design studios on a global scale. In Brazil, I played an important role within the design team at Tátil Design Group, contributing to award-winning branding projects like the Brazil 2014 FIFA World Cup, the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics Games, and the successful implementation of Coca-Cola's branding for those Games. Additionally, I had the incredible opportunity to serve as part of the communications team during the 2013 Presidential Campaign within Brazil's Federal Government.
In 2015, I began a new chapter in both my life and career by relocating to Australia. My initial stop was Sydney, where I had the chance to apply my skills and knowledge in the dynamic retail sector, collaborating with notable clients such as Diageo, CUB, and Coca-Cola. Three years later, I received an invitation to join the Clemenger BBDO team in Melbourne, where my focus was solely on Myer. During my time there, I played a pivotal role in the successful execution of various creative campaigns, with a particular emphasis on editorial design and art direction. In 2018, I transitioned to VMLY&R Melbourne, assuming the role of Senior Graphic Designer. In this capacity, I had the honor of leading a team of talented designers and exclusively serving esteemed clients, including Defence Force Australia (DFR) and Monash University. Our collaborative efforts resulted in the creation of award-winning campaigns. In 2021, my family and I relocated to Adelaide to accommodate our growing family. Since then, I've had the privilege of working with various reputable companies, including Martins Brand House, Balmer Marketing Agency, Studio Veld, and, most recently, the Department for Education – SA.
Staying consistently informed about the latest design trends, I continuously seek inspiration to expand creative horizons and produce exceptional outcomes. My frequent travels exposes me to diverse cultures, nature, and experiences, serving as my primary wellspring of inspiration.
